How long does a film take?

Measured today: 33–70 minutes from start to MP4 for a 40–45 second film at 1080p. A film runs on its own up to the checkpoint, waits for your decision, then finishes and renders without further input. 4K renders about four times slower.

What do I get at the end?

A master MP4 at 1920×1080 or 4K, 24–60 fps and 3–180 seconds long, plus a web MP4 for sharing, a sound-free cut for platforms that add music in-app, and credits listing every asset, font and song with its licence. The checkpoint material (stills, test clips, shot list, beat map) stays with the film.

What is the checkpoint?

Before the full-quality render, the director stops and shows you stills, test clips, the shot list and the beat map, with a message listing any substitutions and rights notes. You approve, or request changes and it comes back with a new checkpoint. A film waiting for review closes after 90 minutes without a reply, and you get a reminder 15 minutes before. If you’d rather skip it, choose “Approve in advance” when you start.

Can I ask for changes after delivery?

Yes. Open the revision editor, pin notes to a moment or a region of the frame, edit on-screen text, swap a shot’s asset or nudge a cut by a beat, and submit. The director applies your notes and the result arrives as the next version, which you can compare side by side with the last. You can also duplicate the brief as a new film.

Do I need editing or motion-design skills?

Accepted Answer

No. There is no timeline editing and no motion-design software to learn. You write a brief, either with the guided form or in a full markdown editor, and make decisions at the checkpoint. The revision editor collects what you want changed; it never edits pixels in the browser.

Question 6

Which formats, frame rates and lengths are supported?

16:9, 9:16, 1:1 and 4:5; 1080p or 4K; 24, 25, 30, 50 or 60 fps; and 3 to 180 seconds. Cinema bars are a style you describe in the brief. If your footage is 25 fps, pick 50 rather than 60 so it doesn’t stutter; the composer warns you.

Can I render in 4K?

Yes. 4K renders about four times slower than 1080p and the files are over 50 MB, so the composer’s estimate goes up when you choose it.

What about the song and its licence?

Accepted Answer

Upload an MP3, WAV or M4A and, if you like, pick the window to use, such as 1:33–2:13. The director analyses its beats and snaps cuts to them. You set the licence status (licensed, royalty-free or internal test only), and it is shown in the rights notes at the checkpoint and on delivery. With no song, the film uses sound effects only.

How does Talth use my brand?

Pick a saved brand kit or paste your site’s URL, and the director crawls its copy, palette, logos and media. Official logos are marked “use unmodified”, and product claims carry their source URLs. Brand kits are saved, so the second film starts faster than the first. Start a film to try it with your own site.

Can my team work on films together?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Owners and admins manage the team, editors make, review and approve films, and viewers can see everything and comment. Only editors and above can start, approve or cancel a film.

What happens to my files?

Each film is made in its own private workspace, which is cleared once the film is delivered. Your brand kits, songs, images and footage stay in your library so you can reuse them. How long masters and checkpoint packs are kept is still being decided during early access.

What does it cost?

During early access, plans are sized by films a month: Creator at $29 a month (1 film, up to 60 s), Studio at $79 a month (5 films) and Agency at $199 a month (13 films). Yearly billing gives two months free. Need just one film? Single films and credit packs are under Pay as you go on the pricing page. Prices are plus applicable taxes and may change.

How do credits work?

A film is one brief through to a delivered MP4. A 30-second film uses about 100 credits, a 60-second film 170, and 4K uses 25% more. The composer shows the estimate before you start. Credits are held when a film starts and spent when it’s delivered; if a film runs out of time at the checkpoint, the held credits come back, and if you stop a film, the credits it hasn’t used come back. Unused plan credits carry over for a month, and credits from single films and packs last 12 months.

What does a revision cost?

A revision on a delivered film is a flat 40 credits, however many notes you leave on the timeline. v2 arrives next to v1, and you keep both.

Can I get a refund?

New subscriptions can be refunded in full within 7 days of the first payment if no film has been delivered yet, and unused credit packs within 7 days of purchase. If a delivered film doesn’t match its approved checkpoint or has a technical fault, we fix it or return the credits. The refund policy has the details.
